for J/Cers everywhere
and for Brook,
who gave me the idea
J et C pi

the bunnies, the bunnies
oh, i love the bunnies
i don't know why but
oh i love the bunnies

the bunnies, the bunnies
oh, i love the bunnies
i don't know why but
oh i love the bunnies

i can't quite explain it
why i love them so
i'm bursting out in song
i want you to know

they both are attractive
they both have their strengths
i want them together
i'll go to great lengths

oh why are they still apart?
oh, why can't it be?
i know that they are in love
oh, why can't you see?

we don't want girl Seska, we don't want borg Riley
we do not want Kellin or Archer or Tessa
we don't want Gath Labin, we don't want guy Kashyk
we don't want their lips locked when he makes his departure

we do want the friendship, we long for chemistry
we don't care if it goes slow as long as it goes
we want them together, we want it so much
why can't he just kiss her so we have no more woes?

the bunnies, the bunnies
oh, i love the bunnies
i don't know why but
oh, i love the bunnies

the bunnies, the bunnies
oh, i love the bunnies
i don't know why but
oh, i love the bunnies

he's no longer angry
she is so alone
oh, how much, much longer
until they get home?

oh, why are they still apart?
oh, why can't it be?
i'm ready to yell out loud
to The Powers That Be

yeah, we're writing letters
we want it so bad
to us it's important
it's making us sad!

the bunnies, the bunnies
oh, i love the bunnies
i don't know why but
oh, i love the bunnies

the bunnies, the bunnies
oh, i love the bunnies
i don't know why but oh...
i love the bunnies!

Title and lyrics adapted from "The Bunny Song"
in VeggieTales Episode 4, "Rack, Shack, & Benny."

Chakotay has met:
Seska (played by Martha Hackett)--a Cardassian agent of the Obsidian Order posing as a Bajoran member of the Maquis--who was seen in several episodes including the first season's "Prime Factors" and "State of Flux", the second season's "Manuevers" and "Basics, Part I", season three's "Basics, Part II" and "Worst Case Scenario," and season seven's "Shattered"
Riley Fraser (played by Lori Hallier), an ex-Borg Human in the episode "Unity" in Voyager's third season
Kellin (played by Virginia Madsen), an alien in Voyager's fourth season episode "Unforgettable" (unfortunately, the episode lives up to its name)
Vanessa Archer (played by Kate Vernon), an 8472 posing as a Human in Voyager's fifth season episode "In the Flesh"
Tessa Omond (played by Christine Harnos), a Human, fifteen years in the future, in the episode "Timeless" (which is also in Voyager's fifth season)
...and recently a hologram of him has, disgustingly enough, had a relationship with Seven of Nine/Annika Hansen (played by Jeri Ryan) in Voyager's seventh season episode, "Human Error," and the "real" Chakotay began dating Seven in Voyager's series finale, "Endgame."

Janeway has met:
Jabin Gath (played by Ronald Guttman), a Sikarian in Voyager's first season episode, "Prime Factors"
Kashyk (played by Mark Harelik), a Devore Inspector in Voyager's fifth season episode "Counterpoint"
...and since i wrote this song...
Michael Sullivan (played by Fintan McKeown), a hologram in "Fair Haven" and "Spirit Folk" (both of Voyager's sixth season)
and Jaffen (played by James Read), an alien in the seventh season two-parter, "Workforce."

The bunnies are a collaboration on the part of
my friend (BrookLynn*) and myself (Fire Angel / Star in Void).
She had two stuffed bunnies toys:  one white, one tan.
She had named the white one Kathryn and the jackrabbit Chakotay.

Aloc-acoc is the bunny mating call.
Coca-Cola is my carbonated-caffeine-sugar-water of choice
and is manufactured and distributed by The Coca-Cola Company.

M&M's are the candies that melt in your mouth, not in your hand.
They are manufactured and distributed by Mars, Inc.
The idea for command red M&M's came from Gillian Hoyle's Giggle Pics.
The idea for the green M&M's came from some poor pervert's mind.
