I take Mythology, assuming it will be an easy A, hoping to get a prerequisite out of the way, having not yet decided to major in English. I learn about the gods of many cultures, but feel bad for Hestia, the goddess of the hearth and home, sworn to eternal virginity, demoted as the unlucky thirteenth. Though once every home's fire was considered to be an altar to her, as time goes on the importance of her domain seems to have faded.  Like Charlotte Lucas, i long to have my own home to care for.  I was brought up to be a homemaker.
