When i am eleven or twelve, i read that a woman should save herself for marriage. I know that what i want, more than anything, is to be loved. I know that, if i was not a Christian, i would search for love with many men, and not care which of them knocked me up. But i am stronger than that...not because i am special, but because God makes me stronger. I choose to wait. I love myself, and my future husband, and my future children, and my God more than any temporary pleasure or heartache. I wear a ring as a symbol, first a silver heart with marcasite gems, later a gold ring with the words “True Love Waits.”
