I return home to attend college, too poor to pay my own way, still considered to be “dependent” after supporting myself for over a year. There is no help from the government because my father makes too much money...even though he had two mortgages and has five kids at home. At a Southern junior college's financial aid department, i am deemed unworthy of financial aid because I have no children outside of wedlock. I do not understand why i should be punished for my faith and virtue. |
